So, how can businesses use WeChat as a social media marketing tool? Again, just like many other social networks, WeChat offers Official Accounts for brands, celebrities, government, media, etc. WeChat has become an all-in-one platform where you can take care of pretty much any of your daily tasks. However, online shopping isn’t the only thing you can pay for – you can use WeChat Pay to book flights, get a taxi, pay bills, buy your groceries and much, much more. The platform also enables users to shop on the app through WeChat Stores, and furthermore, make purchases through WeChat Pay and WeChat Wallet. These functions alone are reason enough to consider WeChat a social media channel, in our opinion. These groups are even used to handle professional communications between colleagues as it’s much easier to post in Groups than it is to send emails. WeChat also has Groups, and they’re just what you would expect – groups for users to talk about similar subjects and topics. Not only can you share these updates with your friends, but you can also engage with them through comments, mentions (just like Twitter mentions), etc. WeChat Moments allows you to share pretty much anything, just as you would on other social networks, including, but not limited to: It’s completely changed the way people and businesses are connecting with each other. Through WeChat Moments (think of this like Facebook’s News Feed), users are able to share posts with each other and keep in touch internationally.
